
We humans love stability and predictability. We try to stay stable. We forget that stability is not possible. Life is changing. To live requires us to face the process of change. Like it or not, change just happens. Sounds easy but it takes courage to face and overcome change.
Animals do not even think about it, the caterpillar leaves the shell to transform into a butterfly. The pitch needs to leave the nest to fly. The latter will have its own nest. Humans have the possibility to ponder on these changes. That is what differentiates us from animals.
All these changes take courage. We fear the unknown as humans. The uncertainty about what the future holds can cause an enormous amount of anxiety. If we do not oversee it correctly, it can lead to stress.
Change makes us realize and aware of our lack of control over our lives. In fact, the COVID outbreak taught us a clear lesson. Now, facing climate change, we are more aware than ever that we can’t take anything for granted. Our mental health is challenged by change . Change is any area, especially in the ones we do not choose test our resilience.

Absolutely. Change can have an enormous impact on all our emotions. Here I will just spot them.
Change can have a positive impact on our emotions.
- Motivate us due to the enthusiasm for whatever is new! A new job makes us work harder
- Change can make us feel powerful and proud because we have reached a goal.
- Renovated Change brings in some extra and unexpected changes. A new couple makes us take more care of ourselves
Change can also harm our emotions.
- Anxiety and doubts. Have I taken the right decision, what ifs torture us…
- Fears of the unknown. What will happen to me in this new place
- Loss of our comfort zone

Change occurs.

When we face change, we face our limitations. Change makes us move out of our comfort zone, away from familiar things or events. Change tests our tolerance to frustration. A high level of tolerance to failure is a sign of mental health. We all are very aware that facing failure is challenging. It proves our resilience.
We can’t avoid it. It is like the weather. We saw the forecast before we left our house. It showed a sunny day. Suddenly, it started raining. Well, we can’t avoid the rain, we must learn how to move in the rain. Life implies change. Go for it.
